Lesson 5 of 7 · 2 min

A cash sale, paid there and then

When someone pays on the spot, Issue and record payment issues the invoice and records the money in one go.

  1. Paid there and then

Bismillah Kiryana takes five bags of atta and pays cash at the counter. Make the invoice as usual and press Issue and record payment. Paid there and then opens: Paid into Cash in hand, How Cash, then press Issue, paid Rs 14,750.00. It's issued and the payment recorded in one go, and it reads Paid straight away.
  2. Behind it there are still two records, the invoice and the payment, so it reads exactly like any other sale: the customer owed it for a moment, and then didn't. Your cash goes up, your sales go up, and nobody owes anything.
  3. Paid by card, by wallet or by bank? Pick the account it was paid into. A card machine's takings wait in Card & wallet payments to settle until the bank pays them out; the Banking lessons show how.
  4. Lots of walk-in buyers whose names you don't need? Keep one customer called Counter sales and put them all on it. The Clay Room does that with its shop's card sales.
