Lesson 4 of 6 · 2 min

Your details and bank on every invoice

Your NTN and STRN (or VAT number), how to pay you, the invoice number and the days to pay, set once.

  1. Settings → Business

Settings, then Business: your name as customers know it, a tagline, your contact details (email, phone, WhatsApp, address) and, under Tax registration, your tax numbers. In Pakistan that's your NTN and STRN; in the UK, your VAT number. With Show your tax numbers on, as it is to start with, they print under your name on every invoice.
  2. Settings → Invoices & emails

Then Invoices & emails: How to pay you is your bank, account and IBAN (or a wallet number), in your own words. The Number prefix starts each invoice's number, Days to pay sets its due date (0 is due on the day), and the Small print goes at the foot.
  3. Here's how it comes out: your name with your NTN and STRN, the customer, the number and dates, and How to pay you at the foot. A customer on their own terms (City Cash & Carry pays in 30 days) gets their own due date.
  4. Ledger never moves money itself: your bank details tell customers where to pay, and you record the payment when it arrives. Change any of this whenever you like; invoices already issued keep their numbers.
