Lesson 6 of 6 · 2 min

Your plan and billing

A free week, then Rs 1,500 a month in Pakistan, £5 in the UK, $6 everywhere else, plus a little for each extra team member. Subscribe, cancel, change your card or get invoices from Settings → Billing.

  1. Every business starts with a free week: everything open, no card asked for. After that Ledger is Rs 1,500 a month in Pakistan, £5 in the UK, $6 everywhere else; paying yearly, Rs 15,000 a year in Pakistan, £50 in the UK, $60 everywhere else, two months free. Your plan is in your own money: rupees if your books are in rupees, pounds if they're in pounds, US dollars otherwise. One plan, all of Ledger, however many invoices you send, and no VAT on top: Vereon Ltd, which runs Ledger, isn't VAT-registered, so that's the whole price.
  2. The price covers one person, you. Each extra team member adds Rs 150 a month in Pakistan, £0.50 in the UK, $0.60 everywhere else, or Rs 1,500 a year in Pakistan, £5 in the UK, $6 everywhere else on yearly, on the same subscription and invoice. It's everyone in Settings → Team who can sign in: an invitation costs nothing until it's accepted, and removing someone takes them off the bill, with the difference prorated.
  3. Settings → Billing → Set up billing

To subscribe, open Settings, then Billing, choose Monthly or Yearly and press Set up billing; the owner or an admin can. Stripe hosts the payment page, so Ledger never sees your card. Subscribing during the free week keeps the rest of it: the first payment is taken when it ends.
  4. Settings → Billing → Manage subscription

Once you've subscribed, Manage subscription opens Stripe's secure page, for the owner or an admin. Cancel there, change your card, or download any invoice. A cancel takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for, and you can undo it until then.
  5. When a plan ends, or a card keeps failing for a week, Ledger goes read-only: every page, report and invoice still opens, but nothing new goes in the books. Nothing is deleted, ever, and subscribing again picks up exactly where you left off.
